Get to know Lochmühle!
We’ve been welcoming you for 50 years. We are your amusement park in the Rhein-Main-area. Our history goes back to the 19th century. The amusement park Freizeitpark Lochmühle, as we know it today, opened in 1970. Back then we formed riding stables and soon expanded offered acitivities. Our first ponys were Susi and Heidi.
We developped into an amusement park fast and soon offered the mix of activities and rides that our visitors enjoy up to today: barbecue sites, climbing grounds and playgrounds, rides and attractions of many different levels. We offer colorful activities and haven’t forgotten about our roots either: you can experience Lochmühle’s past at the barn, the zoo, the farm and it’s museum. Even the Romans, who popoluted the area of the Lochmühle almost two thousand years ago are represented: the archeological site of a small Roman fort in our woods was made accessable by a playful and kids-appropriate and informative heritage trail.
